The year 2020, negatively affected by the pandemic situation, was a tough one for our orchestra. Namely because we couldn't fulfill our main mission, i.e. give performances in Karviná or elsewhere and go on tours. For that reason we focused on improving our rehearsal room and our equipment. We installed new acoustic panels to improve the sound quality, and purchased new instruments - an euphonium, bass trombone, tuba, digital piano, bass drum, tom-tom, mallets and more; mutes and mouthpieces for brass instruments, new stands, transport coats and new music we would like to perform as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we cannot do so in our traditional New Year concert, nevertheless we believe that we will see you very soon. We wish you a happy new year. The purchase of the equipment was made possible thanks to the statutory town of Karviná. We treasure the collaboration and believe it will continue in the future. Thank you one more time. Also, we would like to thank our partners of the OKD Foundation and Landek Ostrava Foundation. We believe we will meet in concerts and at other occasions.
