The concert of film melodies "Film Nocturne", which took place on Friday 30 August 2024 on Karviná Square, was a huge success.

Under the baton of guest conductor Marek Madeja, works from the films Magneficient Seven, Star Wars, Zorro, James Bond, Mission Impossible, Avengers and others were performed on a beautiful summer evening. Violinist Tomáš Vašut performed as soloist in the central melody from the film Schindler's List. The suite from the well-known fairy tale Three Nuts for Cinderella in a new arrangement by Jan Soukup was also a great success. The concert, accompanied by a film screening, was watched by a full square and at the end of the concert the enthusiastic audience gave a standing ovation.

The concert was held in cooperation with the Municipal House of Culture and with the support of the City of Karviná and the OKD Foundation.
