Recording for Geneva competition

In October, our band is taking part in the Genève Music Band Contest in Geneva, Switzerland. Due to the Covid epidemic, the competition has gone digital. Each band has sent a recording of its programme. The recording has strict rules to follow. The contest is divided into five categories, with Májovák competing in the highest "Excellence" class. The test piece is James Barnes' Pagan Dances. For the chosen piece, we opted for Oliver Waespi's Divertimento. We recorded our material on 25-26th September in Studio 1 of Czech Radio Ostrava. The recording was supervised by František Mixa and Lubomír Výrek. The video was shot by Recrew Broadcasting. The contest itself takes place from 29th to 31st October 2021.
