On Wednesday 6th June 2018, an exhibition was opened to commemorate the 110th anniversary of Májovák. Photos by Edmund Kijonka and Milan Polóny are displayed in the Fryštát library. The vernissage was attended by a number of guests - deputy mayors Karel Wiewiórka and Miroslav Hajdušík, Karviná House of Culture director Olga Humplíková, library manager Markéta Kukrechtová, chairman of honour of the Permoník choir Ivan Šeiner, our former conductor and conservatory professor Jiří Bystroň and many former and contemporary members of our band. Apart from the photos, chronicles of the band and a photoboard of players are at display, too. The vernissage was accompanied by a performance of the orchestra's wind quintet, which performed pieces by Ferenc Farkas and Pavel Staněk. The exhitition is open to 29th June in the main library building in Fryštát.
